Suns News

Tyson Chandler    C  Suns

Tyson Chandler (neck) is questionable to play vs. Utah on Wednesday. The veteran logged 18 minutes in his return as a starter on Monday, but less than 24 hours later he's back on the injury report. Most fantasy owners would love to see him shut down, to avoid the daily guessing game in the Suns' frontcourt. If he does miss time, Dragan Bender, Alex Len and Marquese Chriss all stand to gain a bit.

Devin Booker    G  Suns

Devin Booker (hip) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Utah. It's the Suns' final game before the All-Star break, which increases the odds that Booker is held out as a precaution. We've yet to hear about him going through a full practice, and he wasn't able to turn without pain as recently as Monday, so owners should prepare themselves for another DNP.

Tyson Chandler    C  Suns

Tyson Chandler (neck) returned to action on Monday vs. the Warriors, scoring eight points with nine rebounds in 18 minutes. He probably would've played more if the Suns weren't down by 687 points at halftime. All kidding aside, Chandler will likely be in a timeshare with Alex Len going forward, but he's an obvious shut-down candidate.

Elfrid Payton    G  Suns

Elfrid Payton went off for 29 points, eight rebounds, five assists, two triples and four turnovers in a blowout loss to the Warriors on Monday. Payton was getting whatever he wanted offensively, but didn't provide much resistance on defense just like the rest of his teammates. Payton finished 11-of-18 from the field and 5-of-7 from the line, and he was coming off a 19-point game on Saturday with nine assists and six rebounds. He's off to a great start in Phoenix, but we may not see how he fits next to Devin Booker (hip) until after the break.

Josh Jackson    F  Suns

Josh Jackson hit 4-of-18 shots for eight points in Monday's blowout loss to Golden State. Other than Elfrid Payton, the rest of the Suns didn't show up for work tonight and were completely outmatched. Jackson couldn't salvage his poor shooting line either, adding four rebounds with one assist in 32 minutes. He's prone to duds, but for the most part Jackson has been really solid since the new year and his fantasy owners should stick with him for the stretch run.

Tyler Ulis    G  Suns

Tyler Ulis (back) will not play on Monday vs. the Warriors. This means we'll see plenty of Elfrid Payton with Josh Gray backing him up. Ulis has little to no fantasy value right now and belongs on the waiver wire in most leagues.

Tyson Chandler    C  Suns

Tyson Chandler (neck) will start on Monday vs. the Nuggets. He was limited at Sunday's practice, but he was listed as probable on the injury report and is ready to return from a two-game absence. In other Suns news, Devin Booker (hip) is still out and Tyler Ulis (back) remains questionable. With Chandler active, that means less minutes at the five for Dragan Bender.

Devin Booker    G  Suns

Devin Booker (hip) will not play on Monday vs. the Warriors. He said he still can't turn without pain, and while he's hopeful of playing on Wednesday, it's a pretty safe bet that the Suns will hold him out through the All-Star break. Elfrid Payton will have his hands full running the offense, and we should continue to see more of Josh Jackson and Troy Daniels.

Elfrid Payton    G  Suns

Suns coach Jay Triano said he was pleased with Elfrid Payton's debut. "I thought he was good," Triano said. "It was different, the pace of play was better, getting the ball up and down the court, getting into the lane when he needed to, and making passes. He made the guys on the floor with him better." Payton finished with 19 points, nine assists and six rebounds over 35 minutes, but it's going to be interesting to see how he fits next to a ball-dominant Devin Booker. Booker is questionable for Monday's game vs. the Warriors, so we may have to wait a bit longer to find out.
