Jusuf Nurkic    C  Trail Blazers

Jusuf Nurkic isn't worried about his slow start to the season. "I must be better, and I’m going to be,’’ Nurkic said. "It just takes time.’’ Through three games, Nurkic is averaging 13.0 points and 8.0 rebounds on 43.2 percent shooting, and he has a total of six assists compared to 13 turnovers. Damian Lillard believes Nurkic's slow start can be blamed on the faster pace in Portland, so look for the star PG to make an effort to get Nurkic more touches going forward.

Ed Davis    F/C  Trail Blazers

Ed Davis pulled down 11 rebounds in just 16 minutes off the bench on Saturday, to go with six points, one turnover and two blocks. Davis made the most of his minutes tonight, but unfortunately, there's just too much competition in Portland's crowded frontcourt for him to get enough consistent playing time. Davis is nothing more than a low-end big in deep leagues.

Al-Farouq Aminu    F  Trail Blazers

Al-Farouq Aminu did not play well during Saturday's loss to the Bucks, posting just five points, six rebounds, two assists, one 3-pointer and one block in 25 minutes. Aminu really struggled to get his shot to drop, finishing 1-of-7 from the field, and this was an unfortunate step in the wrong direction following Friday's 16-point, 16-rebound double-double. Consistency has been a consistent issue for Aminu throughout his career, so it's unlikely he'll be anything more than late-round guy this year.

Moe Harkless    G/F  Trail Blazers

Moe Harkless quietly had a solid game on Saturday, netting 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting to go with two 3-pointers, three rebounds, three steals and one turnover in 31 minutes. Harkless' numbers rarely jump off the page, but his ability to bring a little bit of everything to the box score without hurting you anywhere is what gives him his appeal in fantasy hoops. He was very quiet through the first two games of the season, but maybe he'll be able to get things going after this solid showing. He's worth owning in competitive 12-team leagues.

Oct 22 - 12:43 AM

C.J. McCollum    G  Trail Blazers

C.J. McCollum scored 26 points on 9-of-18 shooting during Saturday's loss to the Bucks, adding three rebounds, three 3-pointers, one assist, two steals and two turnovers in 37 minutes. McCollum was also a perfect 5-of-5 from the charity stripe in this one, giving him a sterling 64.4 true shooting percentage on the evening to accompany his 27.1 usage rate. He's hit the ground running this year, and there's no reason why he won't be able to improve on last year's top-30 campaign in his age-26 season.

Oct 22 - 12:42 AM

Evan Turner    G/F  Trail Blazers

Evan Turner was productive in his 33 minutes off the bench Saturday, tallying 11 points, seven assists, two boards, one steal, one 3-pointer and two turnovers in a loss to the Bucks. Turner was the first sub off the bench, and he did a really nice job of helping facilitate the offense while C.J. McCollum or Damian Lillard worked off the ball. His minutes are up this year, which is a trend that should hold with Allen Crabbe no longer a part of the equation, so the stars are aligned for a bounce-back year after a pretty disastrous 2016-17 campaign. Turner won't be much more than a late-round guy, but it looks like he'll be worth owning in competitive 12-team leagues.

Oct 22 - 12:42 AM

Damian Lillard    G  Trail Blazers

Damian Lillard registered 26 points, five rebounds, four assists, three 3-pointers, four steals and six turnovers during Saturday's 113-110 loss to the Bucks. Lillard started the game out slow as he struggled with foul trouble, but he absolutely took over during the fourth quarter, scoring 16 of his 26 points while posting an absurd 40.0 usage rate. Lillard has gotten off to a hot start this year, owning averages of 23.7 points, 5.7 boards, 5.3 dimes, 2.0 steals, 2.3 triples, 1.3 swats and 2.0 turnovers per contest on 45.1 percent shooting, which has been good enough for top-10 value in 9-cat leagues. He's a stud.

Oct 22 - 12:41 AM

Jusuf Nurkic    C  Trail Blazers

Jusuf Nurkic scored 11 points with two rebounds, three assists, one block, one steal and six turnovers in 26 minutes against the Pacers on Friday. He was just 4-of-13 from the field and is off to a somewhat slow start. Nurkic's biggest issue has been his 11 turnovers in his two games while the blocks and boards are not up to par. He's still getting decent usage with a 33.0 usage rate, so the role is clearly there for him to produce. He'll get it going soon.

Oct 20 - 11:21 PM

Al-Farouq Aminu    F  Trail Blazers

Al-Farouq Aminu was terrific against the Pacers on Friday with 16 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block, no turnovers and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes. Despite coach Terry Stotts' best efforts, we now know Aminu will be starting in every game as the power forward while he's healthy. There was talk of him playing some SF, but that's not happening and he's done very well early. Although, the matchups were good ones, Aminu still looks like a player that needs to be owned in all leagues.

Oct 20 - 11:13 PM

Caleb Swanigan    F  Trail Blazers

Caleb Swanigan scored two points in nine minutes against the Pacers on Friday. No rebounds for Biggie in his homecoming game? It doesn't look like coach Terry Stotts is going to play Swanigan at the five and Al-Farouq Aminu has a stranglehold on big minutes in the first unit, so Swanigan is a drop after a buzz worthy few months. Swanigan is also going to have to fight for minutes with Zach Collins.
