Zaza Pachulia    C  Warriors

Pachulia (heel) says he will be 'fine' to play in the NBA Finals given the nine-day layoff, Ramona Shelburne of ESPN reports.

Zaza Pachulia    F/C  Warriors

Zaza Pachulia (heel) said he'll be fine to play when the NBA Finals begin. Pachulia sat out Games 3 and 4 of the Dubs' Western Conference Finals matchup with the Spurs, so he'll have at least a full nine days to rest up before the Finals begin. It sounds like he'll be back in the starting five for Game 1 of the Finals, which will result in Patrick McCaw moving back to the second unit.

Steve Kerr    G  Warriors

Steve Kerr is still in pain and unlikely to return to full-time coaching duties during the NBA Finals. Unfortunately, the procedure Kerr underwent at the Duke Spine Center back on May 5th did not deliver the relief he had been hoping for. Kerr has been able to assist acting head coach Mike Brown by watching the games remotely and breaking down film, but obviously would prefer to be on the floor with his team. "I wish I could be out there with them," said Kerr. "And maybe I will. I don’t know. We’ll see."

Patrick McCaw    G  Warriors

Patrick McCaw tweaked his right ankle in Monday's Game 4 win over the Spurs, but he later returned and finished with six points (2-of-4 shooting), four rebounds, two assists, one block and two triples in 17 minutes. He had his ankle re-taped and seemed fine after returning, but he gets nine days off to recover anyways. The Spurs went super small tonight with Jonathon Simmons at the four, so McCaw replaced JaVale McGee in the first unit with Zaza Pachulia (heel) out again. Andre Iguodala should be much healthier for the NBA Finals and will take on a larger role, so McCaw's minutes may trend down in the NBA Finals.

Andre Iguodala    G/F  Warriors

Andre Iguodala (left knee soreness) played 22 minutes in Monday's Game 4 win over the Spurs, finishing with seven points (3-of-6 FGs), six rebounds, three assists, two steals and two turnovers. Iguodala was considered probable to play, and while he didn't have a formal minutes cap, it's obvious that the Warriors were keeping an eye on his workload. The Warriors will need Iguodala's minutes to be in the 30s with a potential matchup with LeBron James and the Cavs looming, but luckily he gets nine days off to get back to 100 percent.

May 23 - 12:24 AM

Klay Thompson    G  Warriors

Klay Thompson's struggles continued in Monday's Game 4 win over the Spurs, scoring 10 points on 3-of-13 shooting. He grabbed six rebounds with one assist and one triple in 34 minutes. Thompson hasn't been himself in the postseason with averages of 14.4 points on 38.3 percent shooting, a far cry from his regular season scoring average of 22.3 points on 46.8 percent shooting. With nine days off until the NBA Finals, Thompson's struggles will be a major talking point with a potential matchup with the Cavaliers looming.

May 23 - 12:08 AM

Stephen Curry    G  Warriors

Stephen Curry dropped a game-high 36 points in Monday's 129-115 Game 4 win as the Warriors swept the Spurs. The Warriors will be back in the finals for the third year in a row. Curry shot 14-of-24 from the field with six rebounds, five assists and five 3-pointers and has never looked better, averaging 27.9 points per game in his previous 11 playoff games. Curry said after Game 3 that he's been battling a sore right (shooting) elbow for a little while, so the extra time off will be key -- Game 1 of the NBA Finals isn't until June 1. He will be looking to redeem himself after a poor showing in the Finals in 2015-16.

May 22 - 11:54 PM

Patrick McCaw    G  Warriors

McCaw will start at small forward for Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals against the Spurs, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

May 22 - 9:14 PM

JaVale McGee    C  Warriors

McGee will return to the bench for Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals against the Spurs, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

May 22 - 9:14 PM

Patrick McCaw    G  Warriors

Patrick McCaw will start Game 4 vs. the Spurs on Monday with JaVale McGee returning to the bench. The Spurs are starting a small-ball lineup with Patty Mills, Manu Ginobili, Danny Green, Jonathon Simmons and LaMarcus Aldridge, so the Warriors will counter with Stephen Curry, Patrick McCaw, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green. JaVale McGee will come off the bench, but he should still be involved with Zaza Pachulia (heel) out again.
