John Wall    G  Wizards

The Wizards "top priority" this offseason will be signing John Wall to an extension, according to CSN Washington. Wall is coming off the best season of his career. In 2016-17, Wall became just the third player in NBA history to average at least 23 points, 10 assists and two steals per game. Becuase he was named to an All-NBA team, he is eligible to sign a Designated Player Veteran Extension this summer. The extension would be worth $168 million over four years, beginning in 2019-20. However, according to the report, Wall "wants to see a bigger picture plan on where the franchise is headed before committing."

John Wall    G  Wizards

As a result of being named to the All-NBA Third Team, John Wall is eligible to sign a Designated Player Veteran Extension this summer. Wall has two years left on his current deal but is now able to sign a four-year, $168 million extension that would kick in for the 2019–20 season. In the past, Wall had previously voiced his displeasure after seeing inferior point guards, such as Reggie Jackson, sign contracts worth more than his. Both he and the Wiz may consider committing to each other long term, which would lock in a major pay raise for Wall. He would earn $37.5 million in the first season of that new deal.

Chris McCullough    F  Wizards

Candace Bucker of the Washington Post said that the Wizards are high on Chris McCullough's potential. Buckner adds that the Wizards plan on developing McCullough as if he is the team’s 2017 first-round draft pick -- the Wizards traded away the 22nd overall pick to land Bojan Bogdanovic. McCullough only made two brief appearances for the Wizards following his arrival from the Nets, but he could make a case to enter the rotation in 2017-18 with a strong showing in the summer league. We'll be watching his development closely, but he's not on the standard-league radar yet.

Bojan Bogdanovic    G/F  Wizards

Candace Buckner of the Washington Post said the Wizards "may not prioritize" keeping Bojan Bogdanovic if he can "command a big payday elsewhere." The Wizards gave up their 2017 first-round pick in order to acquire Bogdanovic, but their biggest priority is to re-sign Otto Porter first. Both players are restricted free agents, but Porter is expected to receive max contract offers which limits Washington's financial flexibility. Bogdanovic averaged 12.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.7 triples following his trade from the Nets and shouldn't have any problem landing a sizable contract this summer.

Brandon Jennings    G  Wizards

Brandon Jennings said that he was "terrible" in the series against Boston. At least he's honest, as Jennings averaged just 1.0 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists on 18.8 percent shooting against the Celtics in the second round. The 27-year-old PG has clearly lost a step since his Achilles injury and is a huge defensive liability. He averaged just 3.5 points and 4.7 assists on 27.4 percent shooting after his trade from the Knicks, so he wasn't much better in the regular season. A return to Washington in free agency doesn't seem likely.

Trey Burke    G  Wizards

Trey Burke is expected to move on from the Wizards this summer. "I don’t plan on my role being the same next year," Burke said. "My agency is working very hard for me right now. I know what type of player I can be and I know what type of player I want to be. That’s not my plan." He was leapfrogged by Brandon Jennings late in the year and completely fell out of the rotation, so it's not a surprise that he's ready to move on. Still only 24 years old, Burke has struggled on both ends of the floor early in his NBA career and averaged just 5.0 points and 1.8 assists on 45.5 percent shooting this season. At best, Burke will land a backup job somewhere this summer.

Oubre is expected to undergo PRP injections to his right knee, Chris Haynes of ESPN.com reports.

Kelly Oubre plans to undergo PRP injections to his right knee according to Chris Haynes of ESPN. Oubre revealed during Tuesday's exit meeting that he had an MRI on his right knee last week, but he doesn't have any structural damage according to this report. This is a minor procedure that is only expected to sideline him for a couple weeks, so it shouldn't have too big of an impact on his offseason plans.

Kelly Oubre    F  Wizards

Kelly Oubre said he had an MRI on his right knee last week. He didn't want to know the results of the MRI until after the playoffs, but he added that he still doesn't know the diagnosis. Oubre did hint that a procedure(s) could be necessary, so we'll be on the lookout for an update on his knee in the coming days. He averaged 6.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 0.7 triples in 20.3 minutes per game this season, shooting 42.1 percent from the field and 28.7 percent from beyond the arc. Expect him to have a larger role in 2017-18, but his ceiling will be limited unless Otto Porter leaves as a restricted free agent.

John Wall said that he feels fine physically heading into the offseason and that he doesn't expect to undergo any further knee procedures. Despite a bitterly disappointing end to the season due to a poor performance in Game 7 vs. Boston, the 2016-17 campaign was very encouraging overall for Wall. Not only did he put up the best all-around numbers of his career in the regular season and the playoffs, he was also able to remain healthy. He was held out of back-to-backs in November, and there was fear he would frequently be sidelined, but he ended up starting 78 of 82 regular season contests and all 13 playoff games. He won't last past the second round in fantasy drafts next fall.
